SCIATICA

Sciatica is a general term to describe pain that radiates from the lumbar region to the gluteal region.

Careful examination is required to determine the source of the sciatic pain.

Sources of sciatic type pain include irritation to the sacroiliac joint, pinched nerves, strained and sprained tissues surrounding the hip gluteal and sacro-iliac regions.

Treatment may include chiropractic adjustments,

massage therapy, lumbar and sacroiliac support,

and rehabilitative exercises.
